Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Depart from USA. Arrival next day.

Day 2: Arrive and recuperate in Jerusalem. Relax in afternoon walking on the streets on which

Our Lord himself walked. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 3: Late start. Walk on the Via Dolorosa: The Way of the Cross on which Our Lord

carried his cross. Visit the Empty Tomb and the Resurrection Church and experience the

place where Jesus gave his life for us and rose from the dead. Go to the church where the cock

crows: Remember that Jesus told Peter that before the cock crows he will deny him three

times. Then visit the Upper Room where Jesus had the Last Supper and the Church of the

Dormition of the Virgin Mary: At the end of her life the Virgin Mary was assumed into Heaven,

body and soul. Dinner at 6:45 pm at the hotel. Wine included. Long pants or capris during the

day. Casual dress in evening. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 4: Leave hotel around 9:30 a.m. in private bus. Visit Mount of Olives: a place of many of

Jesus’ activities; Dominus Flevit, where Jesus cried over Jerusalem; Ascension Church and The

Our Father Church. Visit Beit Faji Church, where Jesus started his ride toward Jerusalem on

Palm Sunday. See Gethsemane where Jesus suffered the agony in the garden right before his

crucifixion; and Mary Magdalene Church, the place where she encountered Jesus and changed

her life forever; the wailing Wall and Dome of the Rock. Dinner at 6:45 pm at the hotel. Wine

included. Long pants or capris throughout the day. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 5: Visit Bethlehem, the birthplace of our Lord. Enjoy peace of Nativity Church. See the Cave and Tomb of St. Jerome who spent his life studying Holy Scripture. Visit Shepherd’s Field where angels announced the birth of the Lord. Then to Herod’s Citadel, Church of the

Milk, where Mary fed Jesus, and Ain Karem, where Mary visited Elizabeth. Dinner 6:45 pm at

the hotel. Wine included. Casual dress. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 6: Visit the Dead Sea, the lowest place on the earth; Qumran, where the scrolls were

discovered; and Jerico, where Zachaeus encountered our Lord and changed his life. See the

traditional sycamore tree that Zachaeus climbed to see Jesus. Pass by Mount of Temptation on

which Our Lord was tempted 40 days and 40 nights and then visit the Masada. Casual dress.

Dinner at 6:45 pm at the hotel. Wine included. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7: Free day. Travel at a slow pace to Galilee. Pass by the Jordan River where Jesus was

Baptized: renew your baptismal vows. Check-in hotel in Tiberias. Dinner at 6:45 pm at the

hotel. Wine included. Overnight in Tiberias

Day 8: Free morning. In the afternoon, enjoy the peace of the Lake of Galilee. Boat ride on

Lake Galilee. Pray on top of the Mountain of Beatitudes and relax in an atmosphere of silence

and peace. Visit both the Church of Peter's Primacy where Jesus handed Peter the keys of the

Kingdom and the Church of Multiplication of Bread and Fish. Dinner at 6:45 pm at the hotel.

Wine included. Casual dress throughout the day. Overnight in Galilee.

Day 9: Visit Nazareth where the Annunciation took place. Then visit Cana in Galilee, where

Jesus turned water into wine during a wedding feast: renewal of marital vows is available for

those who are celebrating their wedding anniversary. Go to Capernaum and see the house of

Sts. Peter and Andrew, where Jesus did most of his preaching and healings. Dinner at 6:45 pm

at the hotel. Wine included. Overnight in Galilee.

Day 10: Visit the city of Haifa and the Mount of Carmel where Elija was taken up to Heaven.

Dinner at the Hotel. Wine included. Casual dress throughout the day. Overnight in Galilee.

Airport and Passport

	Get a passport ASAP
	It is highly recommended that you register your trip with the US State Department online at Travel Registration

Flight Information

	We fly you from any city in the USA round trip to your destination for the same price
	You can deduct $800 from the price of the trip if you purchase your own flight. Feel free to use your mileage and join the group at your destination
	Passengers need to be at the airport counter at least 3 hours before departure
	You will be fed on the plane. Plenty of food
	You can earn miles even though we are traveling as a group. Just call the airline we are using and tell them that you need to be credited for your miles
	Seat assignment is done only at the airport

Staying In Touch

	Each traveler will receive 2 cards with emergency contacts (one for you & one for your family at home)
	The trip is designed so that you and your family in the U.S. are always able to contact the tour guide during the trip
	A tour guide is with the group for the entire trip (from USA departure to USA return)

Money

	You can use your credit/debit card, but tell your bank/card company ahead of time that you will be using them overseas. Credit and debit card have the best exchange rate
	AAA prepaid debit cards are also useful
	Avoid bringing Traveler's Checks with you
	Make sure that your pin does not start with number "0" and does not have more than 4 digits. Some ATM machines overseas do not accept pins starting with "0" and pins that have more than 4 digits
	Money belts are highly recommended

Transportation

	Proximo Travel has its own Private Luxury Bus at all times
	Bus is air-conditioned and has large windows to enjoy the scenery

Dress Code

	Dress is casual and comfortable. It is a vacation, relax and enjoy
	Some sights require long pants (or capris) and shirts with sleeves

Packing and Carry-on

	Pack light! People normally don't use more than 60% of what they pack
	Pack your medicine, valuables, and one day's change of clothes in a carry-on just in case your luggage does not arrive on time
	Liquids should be in your checked luggage, not in your carry-on. If you choose to have your liquids in your carry-on, it should be less than 3 ounces and should be placed in a one quart-size plastic zip bag (one bag per person)

Safety is our priority. As we tour each country, every passenger is always accounted for: there is always a count of passengers before and after touring each site. We never leave anyone behind!

Lots of Walking?

Even though we have our own private bus, some sites do require some walking. Bring comfortable shoes (dress shoes are not necessary at all). Let me know ahead of time if you need a wheelchair

Traveling Alone

If you are traveling alone, we will room you with another nice passenger so that you don't have to pay the single room supplement. If you want your own private room, it is $700 extra

Number of Passengers

Proximo Travel hosts an average of 30 people on each tour. These trips are advertised in many venues. They almost always sell out early, so please keep this in mind when you are planning to book a trip. Many people book up to a year in advance

Insurance and Cancellation Policy

	Additional $200 per person for full balance coverage up to last minute before travel. The Deposit is always non-refundable Cancellation/Refund Policy:
	You must have a valid reason for cancellation (illness, surgery, God forbid family death, etc.)
	You must provide proof of your situation to be eligible for a refund prior to departure. In case of illness, a doctor's note is necessary
	Without Insurance:

1. Balance (less deposit) is refunded if cancelled 90+ days prior to departure

2. Only plane ticket is refunded if cancelled within 90 days of departure

With Insurance:

1. Full balance (less deposit) is refunded at any time of cancellation

Mr. Sari Rabadi or a representative from his company are our licensed Catholic tour guides. An assistant tour guide from the USA will be with the group 24/7
